Care Bare Rx vs RxSpan MD

Neither will tell you the dose, so this comes down to what a month costs and how much you have to commit to get it.

Care Bare Rx

Partner

$199/mo

A telehealth brand that puts NAD⁺ on the same footing as everything else it sells, with the price on the page before you hand over an email.

Pick it for: The lower month-to-month price, on a page built around NAD⁺ rather than a catalog

RxSpan MD

Editorial

$249/mo

Sells NAD⁺ three ways with the tablet priced below the other two, behind a catalog that renders only in the browser — the server sends a page saying no products were found.

Pick it for: Choosing between a needle, a spray and a tablet at one prescriber, or prepaying to bring the rate down

Our verdict

Month to month, Care Bare Rx is $199 and RxSpan MD is $249, and neither publishes a milligram figure — including the RxSpan product actually named Flex Dose. RxSpan's $249 is the rung you pay for not committing: three months takes the injection to $199 a month, six months to $166 and twelve to $150, a 40 percent spread on an identical product. If you will not hand over a year up front for a drug you have not tried, Care Bare Rx is $50 a month cheaper for the same silence about quantity. RxSpan earns two real points back — it sells the injection, a nasal spray and an oral tablet at published prices, and it states outright that it does not manufacture the compounded medication and that what arrives will not look like the website photograph. Neither of those changes the month-to-month arithmetic.

What actually separates them

Care Bare Rx and RxSpan MD state different things about published price and states legitscript certification. Everything else they publish, they publish the same way.

RxSpan MD costs $50 more than Care Bare Rx — 25% more for the same molecule. Whether that buys anything is what the rest of this page is for.

Over twelve months that is about $2,388 at Care Bare Rx against $2,988 at RxSpan MD — a difference of $600.

What neither of them tells you

A comparison that only reports differences implies everything else is settled. Here it is not.

  • Neither publishes a milligram dose, so neither price can be compared with the other — or with anything else.
  • Both sell a compounded drug and neither names the pharmacy that compounds it.
  • Neither states whether any bloodwork is included, or what it would cost.
  • Neither publishes which states it can ship to.

Before you choose either

Neither of these sellers publishes a milligram dose, so neither price can be compared with the other or with anything else — which is normal in this category and is exactly the problem. Ask both what dose the monthly price buys, and see the sellers that do publish one before you assume the cheaper sticker is the cheaper product.

Our take is computed from a published rubric that does not read commercial status, and what is known about safety applies to both of them equally.
