Medical Disclaimer

Effective September 13, 2026

NAD Picks covers NAD⁺ therapy — a category people buy to change their energy, their cognition and their aging, largely on the strength of marketing rather than outcome data. That is consequential territory, so we want to be unambiguous about what this site is and is not. Please read this disclaimer carefully. By using NAD Picks, you acknowledge and agree to the statements below and to our Terms of Use.

1. For Education and Research Only

All content on NAD Picks — including articles, reviews, comparisons, tools, charts, glossary entries, and newsletters — is provided for general informational, research, and educational purposes only. It represents our reading of the published evidence at the time of writing. It is not medical, clinical, pharmaceutical, nutritional, or other professional advice, and it is not a recommendation that you take, avoid, start, stop, or change any medication, supplement, dose, or course of treatment.

2. Not a Substitute for Professional Care

Nothing on this Site is a substitute for the individualized judgment of a qualified, licensed healthcare professional who knows your medical history. Always seek the advice of your physician, pharmacist, or other licensed clinician with any questions you have about a medical condition, a medication, or a therapy — and before acting on anything you read here. Never disregard professional medical advice, and never delay seeking it, because of something you read on NAD Picks.

3. No Doctor–Patient Relationship

NAD Picks is an independent research and review publisher. We are not a medical provider, telehealth company, pharmacy, or insurer. We do not diagnose conditions, prescribe or dispense medications, or provide treatment. Reading this Site, contacting us, or using our tools does not create a doctor–patient, pharmacist–patient, or any other professional-care relationship between you and NAD Picks or its writers.

4. Individual Results and Risks Vary

NAD⁺ preparations can cause side effects and are not appropriate for everyone. This matters more here than the marketing suggests: injectable, IV and nasal NAD⁺ sold through telehealth in the United States is compounded, which means it is not FDA-approved and has not been reviewed by the FDA for safety, efficacy or quality before it reaches you. Oral precursors such as nicotinamide riboside (NR) and nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) are sold as supplements, a category the FDA does not review before sale either, and NMN's status as a lawful supplement ingredient is itself unresolved. Regulatory status varies by jurisdiction and changes over time. Efficacy and safety data describe study populations, not individuals — your own response, risks, contraindications, and drug interactions may differ. Any decision you make based on information from this Site is made at your own risk.

5. What the Evidence Does and Does Not Show

We state this on the disclaimer page, not only in our articles, because it is the most commonly misrepresented fact in this category. Oral NAD⁺ precursors reliably raise blood NAD⁺ levels in randomized human trials. Whether raising those levels produces the outcomes NAD⁺ is marketed for — more energy, sharper cognition, slower aging — has not been established in controlled human outcome trials, in any format. Injectable and IV NAD⁺ are the most expensive options and carry the least outcome evidence of all. Any claim that NAD⁺ reverses aging goes beyond the published data, wherever you encounter it, including on pages where we earn a commission.

6. Medical Emergencies

If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or your local emergency number (such as 911 in the United States) immediately. Do not rely on this Site, our email, or any online resource for urgent medical needs. NAD Picks does not provide emergency services and cannot respond to medical crises.

7. Accuracy and Currency

We work hard to source every claim to the primary literature and to verify it before publication — see our methodology and editorial policy. Even so, the science evolves, labels are updated, and provider details change frequently. Information may become outdated, and despite our care it may contain errors or omissions. We do not warrant that any content is complete, current, or error-free. Verify anything material with a licensed professional and with primary sources before acting on it. If you spot an error, please tell us through our corrections process.

8. Third-Party Content and Links

The Site references and links to third-party sources — clinical trials, FDA and DailyMed labels, peer-reviewed papers, news, and provider websites. We do not control that content and are not responsible for its accuracy or for the practices of any third party. A link is not an endorsement of any treatment decision.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NAD Picks and its publisher disclaim all liability for any loss, injury, or damage of any kind arising from, or in connection with, your use of or reliance on the information on this Site. Your use of the Site is governed by our Terms of Use, including the disclaimers and limitations of liability set out there.
