Best NAD⁺ supplements for women: what the trial dose actually costs
Start with the thing most pages for this search will not tell you. There is no women’s NAD⁺ formulation. Nobody has tested a capsule in women against the same capsule in men, and no randomized trial has tested NMN or NR in women for hot flashes, for skin, or for ovarian function — we ran the searches and published what came back, which was nothing. A product sold as a women’s version is the ordinary product with different packaging.
What does exist is more useful. One good trial enrolled only women: ten weeks, randomized, placebo-controlled and double-blind, in postmenopausal women with prediabetes who were overweight or obese. It found NMN improved muscle insulin sensitivity. And its registration states the amount — two capsules, 250 mg of NMN a day.
That gives a question worth answering: what does that dose actually cost? It works out at 7.5 grams a month. Below is what every NMN seller we price charges for it. The answer ranges from $4.49 to $225 a month — the same molecule, the same daily amount, 50 times the price.

Computed from each seller’s published price and the NMN in the container, at 250 mg a day for 30 days. Matching a trial’s dose does not import its result: that study measured insulin sensitivity in women with prediabetes, and tested nothing else in anyone else.
Sellers we cannot cost
These 3 are left out of the table rather than guessed at.
- Lumine Organicspublishes no price we could verify.
- Renue By Sciencepublishes no price we could verify.
- Codeagepublishes no milligram figure, so the grams in a container cannot be established.
What the evidence does and does not say
The trial above is the strong one. There is a second study people cite for menopause symptoms, and it is much weaker: open-label, seven days, no control group, self-reported, and testing NR combined with pterostilbene rather than NMN. It is worth knowing it exists and worth not building a purchase on it.
Nothing here tests whether NAD⁺ helps with the things this search is usually about. If you want the whole picture, including the searches that came back empty, the evidence page has it — and how the dose was chosen is worth reading before you pay for a bigger one.
